Hi Loves! Happy 2019! How is that EVEN possible? This year has just flown by. Ever since Beckett was born the years just seem to go even quicker. Does that happen to you guys since having children? Did you guys go out for the big holiday or are you a home body like me. I was in my pajamas most of the day and only changed to go out and eat a quick dinner. I actually contemplated going to dinner in my jammies but I threw it together so I didn’t embarrass my family. Other than that I was very lazy and I enjoyed it way to much. My main focus for my four days off was to get our house put back together after the Christmas madness. I thought I would share with you guys today some Simple Ideas To Get Your Home Organized After Christmas.
Do you guys move and change your house around as often as I do. I do this way to often just to get things looking fresh and updated. I had pine needles in every area of my home so a nice deep clean after Christmas is a must for me. Where we had our tree I created a simple seating area to add an additional chair option to our small living room. This chair I got on wayfair years ago but I have tagged a similar one here. The brown pouff and cactus printables are both from Etsy. I made the wood bench myself from a piece of old reclaimed wood and added hairpin legs. Our rug is from Target. The coffee table tray is also from Target. All of my pillows are from our local flea market. Have fun and get creative!
Do you guy switch from Christmas Decor to “winter” decor after Christmas? I have thought about doing this before but it does not make sense to me in California. If I lived somewhere where it snowed I would definitely do that. Here I have a simple wicker basket from Ikea with a knit blanket and pillow in it. If you have an old basket around just throw a blanket and a fun pillow in it and you are set with a cute cozy look. If you want your home to look neat and organized you have to keep things simple. So many people overdo it on the decor and it just looks messy.
Our dining room also got a little revamp. I found this amazing bull print from Target that I am obsessed with. If you saw my Instagram stories you know that I made these curtains from drop cloths from Home Depot. Super simple with curtain clips! Our rug is from Overstock. Table runner is from World Market. It all really came together and I am happy with how it turned out. When you are decorating try and pay attention to the heights of things in your room. If you look here you can see how my fiddle leaf fig is the same height as the cactus on the left making it more pleasing to the eye. Its all about balance and learning how to balance out a room so it appears symmetrical.
I hope you all have an amazing rest of the week. Thank you so much for stopping by today, you have no idea how much it means to me. I know you are all KILLING your New Years Resolutions, so keep it up mammas!
